As part of a six week Advanced Typography project completed in the spring of 2023, I developed a design system for an entire issue of Pulse Magazine. Pulse Magazine is a publication produced by Marietta College and the Sigma Tau Delta English Society who publish many literary works of art and fine art pieces in the spring semester every academic year. Through this project I created patterns to be implemented as a system for eighty pages of content produced for this issue of Pulse Magazine. I was provided with the content for the issue and was allowed to produce a version of the magazine unique to my interpretation of the works. I created a simplistic, but interesting pattern to be used throughout keeping consistency and interest within the pages I created. My goal was to create a design complement to the articles and works of art published in this magazine without causing the reader's eye to become overwhelmed. It was an honor to work on this publication and a wonderful experience.
